Frequently Asked Questions From Tenants When are rent payments due? Rent payments are due on the 1st of every month. There is a 5 day grace period. If payments are not postmarked by the 5th of the month, the late fee stated in your lease will apply and is to be paid immediately. If you are making payments through the mail, please make your checks payable to Paradise Island Properties, LLC. Please note the address of the house you are renting at the bottom of the check. You can pay the rent by mailing your payment to us or you may also come to the office directly. Paradise Island Properties, LLC We highly recommend that our renters invest in Renter's Insurance. Your property's insurance policy does not cover accidents for which you are liable and/or any of your personal belongings in the event of an emergency. How are the properties maintained? We have a team of maintenance workers that we entrust with the care of the houses and other properties. You may request service by emailing or contacting us at any time by phone at (808) 671-0182. Water leaks are considered VERY SERIOUS- please call our office for immediate service. Unfurnished - You are personally responsible for contacting the utility companies in order to have the utilities transferred into your name or the name of one of your house mates. You will need to set up your account FIRST with the utility companies BEFORE you move in. To set up your accounts, please call the following: 1) Hawaiian Electric (HECO): (808) 548-7311 We will email or contact you about the lease and to schedule a time for the signing. You may request the lease be sent to your email for review before signing the lease. If it is sent via email, the following instructions will accompany the lease: 1) Please print out two copies.
